Breastfeeding class for expecting and new parents:
Just as women’s bodies are designed for pregnancy, they are also designed for breastfeeding. Even though it is a natural process, it is also a skill that needs to be learnt both by you and your baby. In today’s world of nuclear families, we don’t get exposed to breastfeeding in the way that our earlier generations did-so it’s not so natural any more. Further one of the most common reason women stop breastfeeding is worry about their milk supply and also breastfeeding being painful.
In this session you will learn about various techniques that will help you prepare for breastfeeding and learn about newborn behavior that will help you prepare for breastfeeding. You will also learn how to know if your baby is getting enough milk. Learn different methods to use when you encounter problems and when to seek help.
